The 9th Monitoring Report on the Status of Prey Lang is the latest report about the state of affairs in the Prey Lang area. It covers the timespan from June 2019 to June 2020. This report is compiled by the University of Copenhagen using data collected from forest patrols of PLCN as well as satellite imagery from other sources (GFW, EC-JRC).

• Satellite survey is proving ever more important for the monitoring of Prey Lang in view of the ban on patrolling
• Satellite data shows a significant increase in forest loss compared to the preceding year
• The government ban on forest patrols has led to a significant increase in forest loss
• This year has demonstrated that the presence of PLCN patrols does deter illegal loggers
