Campaign: Prey Lang Avatars
In 2011, PLCN attracted national and international attention to Prey Lang in colorful demonstrations in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, inspired by James Camerons movie “Avatar”. Here PLCN members would dress up and paint their faces to look like green avatars.

About 100 local activists attended a demonstration and news conference appealing to the government to save Prey Lang forests in Kompong Thom, Stung Treng, Kratie and Preah Vihear provinces and demanding to stop granting economic land concessions and suspend all those already granted.
