On August 28, PLCN Core Group members reported that post-election, they have seen a Vietnamese company digging mines in Reab Roy Commune using three tractors. They also noted that prior to the elections, on July 6th, a group of Vietnamese workers had entered Chang Mountain near the Stung Sen River and blocked O’Da stream to search for gems, which are plentiful in the area.  According to the report, the workers, who have established a base to look for mines and gems, are claiming that they will build roads and a bridge across Stung Sen River if their exploration proves promising.
