On August 21-22, 14 PLCN members (4 women) met in Phnom Penh to discuss recent developments and to plan ways forward. Of particular concern were pressure and threats to PLCN members following the election. On the afternoon of August 22, the group met with representatives of CPN/CDPS and 4 key donors (NPA, SADP, and Dan-Mission) to discuss how these groups can better support the network in solidarity, particularly given the challenges they are facing. The group agreed on a strategy to reinforce their structure and strengthen their base. On August 23, the group will meet with USAID to introduce themselves and describe their plans and activities.
