Kingdom ranks low on global green list

In the Environmental Performance Index (EPI) carried out by Yale and Columbia Universities, Cambodia returned one of the lowest Environmental Performance Index (EPI) scores in the region, narrowly edging ahead of Myanmar and Laos.

The survey pointed to widespread logging as a key cause for Cambodia’s disappointing result,  as the country , lost 18 per cent of its tree cover from 2000-2014.
